April 2011 ...........
Bryce Canyon National Park: Following the plateau rim for much of the its 18 miles, the park road and its overlooks offer stunning views of the park and southern Utah scenery. From some overlooks you can see for over 100 miles on a clear day. Rainbow point, in our opinion was the best view. There was still snow in the park at some of the higher elevations. Off all the parks in this area this is a favorite.

April 2011 ...........
Zion National Park: The Zion Canyon scenic drive is open to shuttle busses only. It goes back to The Narrows, which is a must see in Zion. We have been there before and hiked back into the narrows. This year there was to much water to get back there, so we could only hike part of the way. The squirrels are very friendly, if you sit down and have food (or a diamond that sparkles) they will climb up in your lap. This isn't a good idea as they can, and do, bite. Earlier in the spring there was a major flood in Zion and some of the sidewalks and roads were washed out. The drive through Zion is spectacular.
