Lucas:   Known as the Grass Roots Capitol of Kansas, the town of approximately 400 people is home to some not to miss attractions. The Garden of Eden is one man's vision of events depicted in the Bible. Built in 1907 the three story concrete structure is a very strange place. There is a fee to tour and the guides are very knowledgeable. You can even see the glass top casket of the man who built it, and he's been dead well over 70 years.

The Flying Pig Gallery is owned by artist Eric Abraham and you will find a variety of Porcelain pieces like you've never seen before. They are a bit pricey but each is an original. The gallery is located in an old limestone building next to Brant's Meat Market, where the homemade blogna is really good. You can also walk to the the Grassroots Art Center and the Garden of Eden. Pictured below are the pieces on the front of the gallery and some of his creations.
